This volume includes the papers presented on the occasion of the National Conference on “Health Economics- Issues And Challenges in India” organized by the Department of Economics, Sri Parasakthi College for Women,Courtallam and held in the year 2011. Scholars from different parts of the country took part in the academic deliberations and presented papers on various aspects of Health Economics. Dr. (Smt.) Kayarkanni born on 1st June, 1960, Smt.S. Kayarkanni did her postgraduation in Economics and athematical Economics from Madurai Kamaraj University and Doctorate degree from the same University. She took her M.B.A., from Alagappa University. She served in the teaching faculty of Mother Teresa Women’s University and Lady Doak College. She is guiding the M.Phil, and Ph.D., students of Economics.
